About VRF

If we were to ask a random group of people what their main concern with air-conditioning is, most of them would probably say – the volatility of the temperature in the various rooms, and they are right! In addition to the price difference, output, and power consumption, most air-conditioners cool to a certain temperature, stop, and then start again when it rises to a certain temp. Until recently, it was common to think that the solution to this problem was to install several smaller air-conditioners in each room.
The VRF air-conditioning system offers an innovative and effective solution to this problem.

How Does VRF Work?

The VRF (Variant Refrigerant Flow) is an air conditioner that operates differently from regular air conditioners. The way the system works is something we call “variable flow volume”.
This technology pumps the right amount of refrigerant through the system making it possible for the temperature in each room to be independently controlled. The system will deliver an appropriate amount of power to every space, using a minimum amount of energy. This results in an energy-efficient machine. The unique form of installation allows maintaining a different, stable temperature in each of the spaces of the house. This is possible thanks to the installation of separate special pipes in each room, all of which are connected to a single condensing unit. With small thin pipes, there is no need to lower ceilings or install cooling ducts. The system is sensitive to changes and reacts continuously so that a uniform and stable temperature is created. The compressor itself works with “inverter” technology, which means “compressor with varying outputs”.

VRF Pros

There are quite a few pros when installing a VRF unit.
Reliability – The system is particularly resistant to the weather in Israel, even when temperatures climb up to 45 degrees. This means saving on repairs.
Savings – The system is economical in the long term thanks to the way it operates and its durability.
Convenience – With the ability to maintain a uniform temperature and the ability to integrate into a smart home system with remote controls, the VRF system becomes a very convenient option.
Quiet – Thanks to the structure, the engine can be installed away from the bedrooms, ensuring quiet operation. The principle of continuous operation also prevents the engine from shutting down and starting like in normal air-conditioning systems.
Design – Thanks to the way the VRF is installed in the building it is not necessary to install large units in the home space.
Upgrading – When necessary, units can be added in a relatively simple way.
Green energy – VRF air-conditioning system uses “green” gas for cooling.
This integrates with the global trend towards the use of renewable energy.
